Left out on purpose: words like “scam”, “legit”, “fake”, “real”, “refund”, “return”, “price”. Those are usually real buying questions. Answer them instead of hiding them.
- Instagram: profile → menu → Settings and activity → Hidden Words → add custom words and phrases, then turn on hiding comments that contain them.
- Facebook: Meta Business Suite → your Page’s comment moderation (Moderation Assist or keyword filter) → add the words.
- Check hidden comments once a week. Filters catch the occasional real customer.

Where do I paste the list on Instagram?
In the Instagram app: profile → menu → Settings and activity → Hidden Words. Add the words under custom words and phrases and turn on hiding comments that contain them.
Where do I paste it on Facebook?
In Meta Business Suite or your Page’s settings, open comment moderation (Moderation Assist or the Page’s keyword filter) and add the words there.
Why doesn’t the list include words like “scam” or “refund”?
Because those are usually real customer questions. “Is this a scam?” is a chance to reassure every shopper reading the thread, so answer it instead of hiding it.
